Hardwood play area grade chip is an extremely cost-effective wood based material, hard wearing and fantastic for large menages & play areas on a budget. Play grade hardwood chips particle size is 5mm-40mm and is made from mixed conifer hardwood. Play grade softwood chip complies to BS EN 1177:1998 industry play standards. This wood chip is a great seller with local authorities installations as it is much more cost effective and longer lasting.
Our Hardwood play chip is a light gold in colour and darkens with age, creates a unique cleaner playground then conventional play area bark which decomposes much quicker then play area wood chip!
