Please be aware if you are unable to take delivery of goods a redelivery charge will apply at the customers expense. We cannot be liable if you have not contacted us regarding any delivery restrictions. Delivery is made via a pallet network with a pallet trolley and NOT a hiab. Delivery refusal due to access will be charged at £45.00 per pallet.
Pallet delivery can only be guaranteed to your kerb side, however where possible the driver will attempt to deliver onto your drive or pavement. The pallet is delivered from an 18-tonne wagon with a tail lift and pallet trolley (not a crane or hiab delivery wagon). It is only possible to manouver a pallet truck on level, smooth and solid surfaces such as tarmac, concrete or block paving. We cannot deliver on to loose gravel, grass or other soft or uneven surfaces.
We need clear access for an 18-tonne curtain sided lorry. Unless a 7.5-tonne vehicle is requested at the time the order is placed. It is your responsibility as the customer to advise us of any access restrictions that you think may cause a delivery issue, here are some issues that can cause delivery problems:
- weight restrictions on roads leading to your property,
- low overhanging trees,
- narrow roads with on street parking
- inner London restrictions
- no drop kerb
Please Note: Customers are responsible for disposal of any pallets the goods are delivered on.
DO I NEED TO BE AT HOME TO ACCEPT MY GOODS?
No! As long as you leave us a few details where to place your pallets nobody needs to be at home. We always suggest leaving the delivery driver a note so there is no confusion of where you need your goods!
